When we plan a trip in China, the itinerary seems at first sight a pulling-hair experience….The country is huge, counts endless sightseeings with different types of interests… Don’t feel overwhelmed with your travel guides under your eyes, U China Travel team is there to help you build your itinerary that matches your wishes the best.

With 10 years of experience, we like sharing good tips for the travelers who want to travel for the first time in China…

The best advices we want to share is to focus on the must-see historical, ancient sites, Unesco heritage sites. They are so numerous and all spectacular ! And with our “special eye”, travel philosophy and experience, we know how to avoid the most touristy spots and you will still experience an authentic way to travel for sure….

Needless to say Beijing is on the top of the list, followed by Xian, Datong, Pingyao, Dunhuang, Jiayuguan, Zhangye, Tibet, Xinjiang autonomous region, Guilin, Yangshuo, Yunnan region and Mongolia.

Yes, you read well…Hong Kong is not in the list and it is not an oversight.

Even if Hong Kong is spectacular with its concentration of sky scrapers nestled between the sea and the mountains, it remains a very business-oriented city with a strong British heritage. In other words, you can’t expect to see a large number of ancient and cultural sites.

Hong Kong is also an expensive city and because there is a lack of space due to the natural environment, the hotels propose small bedrooms at a high price that makes the travel price higher if you consider a private tour with us.

For all these reasons, we are quite reluctant to propose Hong Kong to our guests and even suggest to skip it totally. But if you really keen on exploring that city, we only recommend you to stay 2 nights maximum and to explore China Mainland more widely.
